Exploring Vermont: where stay and eat and play

Exploring Vermont: where stay and eat and play

If you’re capitvated by covered bridges and New England fall foliage, you’re got to check out Bennington, Vermont.

Stay & Hike

We stayed at Greenwood Lodge and Campsites in the Green Mountains. It’s absolutely BEAUTIFUL and serene and if you don’t want to camp you can stay in the lodge. It’s at the base of Mount Prospect, which we hiked up via the ski runs.

Eat & Marvel

On our way to find the covered bridges, we stayed at THE BEST DUTCH BAKERY EVER, Bakkerij Krijnen where the locals and visitors were incredibly welcoming. We followed this general route to see the beautiful historic bridges.

P.S. SPLURGE!

We totally went out or our way (north and west!) to Ben and Jerry’s factory in Waterbury on our way east to NH because… well, when in VT….

It was worth it!
